Cottage Food

The Cottage Food program provides the opportunity for Certified Food Protection Managers (CFPM) to take their food service skills and bring them directly to the local community through established farmers markets, fairs, festivals or other public events. This program allows for a CFPM to make non-Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) foods and then sell them to the public.

Annual registration must be completed through WCHD. Guidelines for what is allowed and how the products must be handled are provided below. This is a process regulated by the Illinois Department of Pubic Health and the Woodford County Health Department.
