Woodford County Highway Department

Road Construction Update

The Woodford County Highway Department has announced the following construction road closures:

1. Coal Bank Road approximately two (2) miles north of Metamora, IL will be closed beginning August 13, 2009 for bridge replacement between Partridge Point Road and County Road 1650N. The road closure will be in effect until early 2010. The improvement consists of removal of the existing bridge, construction of the new structure, approach roadway construction and related work.

2. County Highway #1 (1400E) will be closed to through traffic approximately 2.9 miles north of Illinois Route 116/117 (at County Road 1700N) to approximately 5.1 miles north of Illinois Route 116/117 (at County Road 1900N) beginning August 17, 2009 for road construction. Also, County Highway #18 (1800N) will be closed at the intersection of County Highway #1 (1400N). The road closure will be in effect until early 2010. The improvement consists of roadway reconstruction, drainage structure replacement, grading, erosion control and related work.
